Today we created a little ecosystem in a bottle. We cut up some bottles and placed gravel and soil into them. We added water to the soil to keep it moist, then we put some seeds on it. We then filled it with dechlorinated water so that we can add a fish later on. Next we got a piece of string a poked a hole through the cap, then we pushed the string through so that it would dangle in the water. This is so that when plants start to form we can see capillary action. Finally we taped up the sides and put up a top on so that it was sealed.
